Northwood School District is seeking a LEA Rep/ Diagnostic Teacher for the FY27 school year. Salary based on CBA, 187 school days. Roles and responsibilities include but not limited too:
*Acts as LEA Representative at special education team meetings for Northwood students across settings as assigned (responsibility shared with Director of Student Services).
*Provides diagnostic and prescriptive services
*Assists Building Administration and Director of Student Services with allocation of special education teacher, paraprofessional and other service provider resources.
*Provides support to case managers in developing annual IEPs. As requested, monitors and observes students in classroom. Provides support to all staff for the implementation of IEPs, including the developing and monitoring of teaching and inclusion strategies.
*Assists Building Administration and Director of Student Services in the development of school-wide initiatives related to tiered supports.
*Acts as a high school liaison and assists in the transition of students with educational disabilities to next grade levels including attending transition meetings in/with other buildings.
*Provides case study information for those students referred to more restrictive environments or out-of-district placements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Approved NH State Special Education Teacher Certificate, and/or one or more of the following: NH SPED Administrator Certification, SAIF, Learning Disabilities Specialist, Psychologist
2. Bachelor Degree from approved Institution
3. Related Job Experience
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate
5. Proficient in computer skills/word processing/data base, etc.
6. Effective communication skills
